Chairs carry out projects for training, research, and knowledge and technology transfer, the purpose of which is to create and exchange knowledge in a specific field.
Each Chair's lines of work are agreed based on the priorities and needs of the organizations taking part in them and those of the University. Each Chair has a director, professor and permanent researcher from the University and a specialist of renowned prestige and experience in his field of knowledge.

It was created to promote research and activities to encourage use of ICTs for development and learning. The Chair focuses its work in the following areas: creation and dissemination of knowledge, and research into the fields of open educational resources (OER), and gender and technology.

It aims to promote research and education in three main areas: food, culture and development (nutrition, rural development, local and global economics, business, communication, regulations, the promotion of best practices, etc.).

A joint initiative between the Fundació Joan Miró and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Catalan Open University), it is dedicated to the study and diffusion of the work of Joan Miró.

The mission of the UOC-BSA Chair is to significantly advance the application of big data and data analysis within the field of health. It does this using a multidisciplinary approach with the participation of all of the agents involved in the healthcare system.
