The deadline for applications is 1 March

The UOC’s Executive Management Committee agreed last December to open two calls for applications for postdoctoral research stays. On the one hand, there are five postdoctoral places on offer at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) and the University’s different departments. On the other, there is one three-year place on offer linked to the eLearn Center to promote stays at the UOC by postdoctoral research and teaching staff in any of the fields that this research, development and innovation centre works on, and in the field of learning analytics in particular.

Conditions

Those interested in applying need to take into account that research staff with postdoctoral contracts at the UOC have to dedicate themselves exclusively to the UOC and, thus, cannot have contractual or statutory links that might affect their exclusive dedication to the research. Under no circumstances can those benefiting from these contracts have been contracted by the UOC in the two years immediately leading up to the publication of these calls for applications.

Likewise, candidates must have obtained their doctoral degree after 1 January 2008 and before the deadline for applications.

Being awarded one of these grants requires the signing of a postdoctoral employment contract for a year – which can be extended for up to three – for 30,000 euros gross per annum, which will be subject to the withholdings established in the current legislation.

The deadline for submitting applications and the corresponding documentation is 1 March 2015. The names of the selected candidates will be made known from 17 March 2015. Successful candidates will be notified by email at the address indicated in the application and the results will be published in the Research and Innovation section of the Virtual Campus.

The postdoctoral contract will come into force on 1 June 2015 and all those benefiting from one will have to start work at the research centre on this same day.
